About

Henni is a Mum of five, teacher  and creative writer. For her, writing is a tool for creativity, healing and also a way of communicating dreams, intentions and sharing everything that is best in life. It is a way of having fun, and in her creative writing courses and teaching she aspires to kindle creativity in others by empowering them through the pen...

'Since she qualified as a teacher in 2006 and has taught people of all ages from 3 months to 83 years! Before that she wrote for children and held creative writing workshops in Oxfordshire and Wales. She has a long-term love of literature and creative writing, helping people of all ages to get their stories down on paper feels so exciting. She really enjoys stimulating creativity in children, teenagers and adults, especially through the invention, weaving and re-telling of stories. Via the Forest school in Corris that she started and ran she held many art and story weaving workshops in the woods.

She has taught supply for every key stage in primary schools in Wales including special needs classrooms and has taught English at secondary and sixth form college level. Henni offers inset/teacher training days on facilitating more creativity in writing for children of all ages. As a part time tutor of adults at Aberystwyth University's School of Lifelong Learning she has written and taught a wide range of courses for their HE certificate in Creative Writing. She was voted tutor of the year in 2013.

She firmly believes in the ability of stories and writing to

shine a light on mental health and to maximise enjoyment of life.
